@steve Ignore that, I see that the expansion tank was in the diagram from Sure Marine and you did not go for that design. My hydronic system is already installed and it is a single loop with the exception of valves used to direct a loop to a Torrid how water heater. So my issue is is that it seems like I will need to reposition my expansion tank so that it is always in any part of the system and currently it is not .
Aha, I wondered which diagram or item you were looking at. Glad that was cleared up.
Having the expansion tank in the summer loop as well is going to be important, but you could also add in a smaller tank just for the summer loop if that is easier. One of my other boats had two expansion tanks - one near the heater and in the summer loop, and one high up and meant for the full loop.
Aaah, I was wondering about a second expansion tank. So does the extra tank have to be higher than the summer loop? My loop is currently attached to the bottom of the saloon floor and will run down to the hot water tank. I donβt really have anywhere else to place the expansion tank higher. I assume that if I have a summer loop expansion tank and if its lower than my full loop tank, I will need a way to close it off so I donβt have two tanks in the full loop. Thanks for help btw, greatly appreciate it.
