Nemo gateway - easy NMEA networking for your boat

Connecting marine electronics together is an important goal for modern boaters. Many different ways exist to do this, but most require gateways or direct connections to larger equipment. Once you have them connected, configuration and being able to use all the data effectively from as many devices as possible is usually the next challenge. The Nemo gateway from Rose Point is an easy way to connect everything together, while also easily providing high quality, frequent data to a number of sources.

I really need my NEMO to bridge NMEA2000 over ethernet to Signal K (like it does Coastal Explorer). I have not found the port or settings to make this connection work with Signal K or other. Does NEMO support canboat or canboatjs? I was led to understand the 2024 firmware might and/or allow for creating custom 0183 sentences from NMEA2000 data as 0183 lacks so many desired data definitions e.g. weather, etc. Just hoping NEMO will do more than output the limited 0183 sentences over UDP.

Do you have any details on the firmware that was supposed to support this?

As far as I know, the Nemo only supports 0183 sentences over a TCP port or UDP. While you’d get a lot of the info from your NMEA 2000 network, it wouldn’t be all of it as you outline.
